What We Do
Asbestos removal is often one of the critical first stages of a demolition or decommissioning project.
HB Insulations provides specialist asbestos removal, decontamination and remediation for demolition contractors, developers, industrial operators and project teams, from individual structures to large and technically demanding sites.
Before major demolition begins, asbestos-containing materials need to be properly identified and, where required, removed so that subsequent works can proceed safely.
The scale and complexity of these projects can vary enormously. A relatively straightforward structure may contain asbestos cement and isolated ACMs. Larger industrial, commercial or legacy buildings can contain extensive AIB, sprayed coatings, thermal insulation, pipe lagging, plant, contaminated voids and asbestos debris distributed throughout the structure.
HB can undertake both licensed and non-licensed asbestos works, allowing the removal programme to be developed around the complete asbestos requirement rather than individual material types.
Planning Around the Demolition Sequence
For complex demolition projects, we consider the planned demolition sequence from the outset.
Removal may need to take place building-by-building, floor-by-floor or across multiple controlled zones. Completed areas can then be independently cleared and released to allow demolition to progress.
HB can work closely with demolition contractors, project managers, consultants, structural teams and independent analysts throughout the programme.
